Artist Spotlight: artfannft
We are super excited to have had the chance to collaborate with @artfannft. Seeing the process and inclusion of kids made my heart sing.
It has been so lovely to get to know @artfannft over the past few weeks, and it felt only fitting to share some of his story with the community.
Lets learn more about @artfannft.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a Venezuelan plasticine artist who had the opportunity to live in Argentina, Bolivia and Colombia. I discovered my talent in modelling through play with my three children, for which they are a vital part of my creative process in the nft world.
I am fascinated by observing and listening, absorbing the culture and learning from each person I meet; I play, have fun, and live life like a child.
Professionally, I have more than 10 years of experience as a creative, and I graduated in social communication and film direction.
2. How do you get into your creative zone?
The idea is often born from the game, cinematographic references, or life itself. Modelling is a ritual more than a game. I look for the silence of the morning, my drawing book and many references on the PC of how things really look to reinterpret them.
3. When in the flow, what does your process look like?
My piece mutates and is rewritten from the idea, the drawing book, the modelling, the staging and the retouching. I look for that click where you love the piece to deliver the best I have.
4. Tell us about your Esther piece?
I am a declared fan of Esther and video games like my character, the shy orange. I thought I would be fascinated to see that place where Esther collects her greatest treasures; I thought a bit about Scrooge McDuck's vault. I tried to immerse myself in Esther's universe to see what moved her and what things she could treasure, not only gold but also friends and objects that reminded her of her adventures.
5. What are you most excited about in web3?
The possibility to connect, to count your village and to, get closer to the followers and make them participate in the evolution process.
6. What's your most significant learning experience in web3?
Every day is a learning process; I learned to be transparent in my approach and share it before remaining ignorant of something; at the end of the day, we are all building.
Thank you so much for collaborating with Esther and me @artfannft; it has been so much fun. To get to know @artfannft feel free to reach out on Twitter.
