Our purpose
Spark curiosity in the mental, physical, and emotional health of kids.
Humble Beginnings
Esther started as an expression of myself (luke), a figment of my imagination and a materialization of my anxiety about being a parent. As I have watched my children grow, I have learned more about the importance of play, creating memories, seizing teachable moments, and finding clever ways to help them navigate life. I don't have all of the answers…hence my anxiety. I am using the opportunity to grow with my two little girls, Ava and Adele.
The Magic of Small Moments
Turning Esther’s world into a cute yet eerie space visualizes this tension in my mind and helps me get in touch with my feelings in a therapeutic way. Esther herself was born as a way for me to use small moments of reflection to help build my daughters’ resilience and social skills. She allowed me to connect with my children in a deep and magical way as I would ask them how Esther might react to this situation or how she might feel about that one.
Mighty Esther began as a small spark kindled by relationship and childlike wonder, and I hope she can help other parents find new ways to think, talk, and play with their own little ones. Esther’s Escape is a way for us to share this character that is so near and dear to my family.
A Journey of Growth
Stories are powerful windows through which people can gain perspective on their struggles, victories, and dreams. Working in tandem with imagination, a purposeful story can open doors in a child’s mind that might otherwise remain shut as they learn to thrive despite all manner of changes and challenges.
We craft engaging stories that help children understand all of these important themes while improving their social skills.
Children need to be able to cope with challenges and changes in their lives as they learn to flourish. The development of mental, physical and emotional resilience must start during childhood. We craft engaging stories that help children understand these important themes while improving their social skills.
As we dive into Esther’s world, teachable moments are uncovered and fostered between children, caregivers and teachers. Esther's stories aim to help children learn to understand themselves and others as they build meaningful relationships.
Our team
Our core team is small but nimble, with each member bringing their unique skill set to the table. Although we may have a small core team, we are empowered by the contributions of our ever-growing community. As a collective group, our creativity is endless and unbound.

Brent is a writer, poet, and full-time father who resides with his wife and son in Greenville, South Carolina.
