Artist Spotlight: ABNXRMAL
Hello, today we have the honour of spotlighting the one and only @abnxrmalmt (ABNXRMAL). He is an incredible artist who travels his mind and dances on the canvas.
ABNXRMAL and I met through an auction on FormFunction; I won a piece recently and fell in love with how he makes pixels move. From there, a deeper conversation sparked, leading us to work together on this dynamic Platform Peril.
Let's take a moment to jump in and learn a little more about ABNXRMAL.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm Nxrmal aka ABNXRMAL, a Full-time NFT artist from Bandung, Indonesia. I make pixels, motion, and music. Combining several things into something new is what interests me.
2. How do you get into your creative zone?
Born with a love for visuals since childhood, I like games, videography, drawing, painting and all kinds of visuals.
In 2018 I started to work in the world of professional visuals. I work as a designer, videographer, and video editor at one of the big music management companies in Bandung called "SG ENTERTAINMENT."
In 2020, I started my journey on web3 as a pixel and 3D artist and met many new friends.
3. When in the flow, what does your process look like?
The funny thing is, I can't make things or creatures that exist in real life. I always draw whatever I imagine and what I "see".
4. Tell us about your Esther piece?
This is the "Sweet Room", where a little creature named "ORNG" eats. ORNG really likes something sweet.
They are harmless because they can't fight back. They will only chase away anyone who wants to pass through that place by pushing them. This is because they don't want their sweet food to be taken away.
Esther had to open the treasures and bring a sword or knife to get past them. Not to kill them but to drive them to the ground. Because ORNG is a small creature that is afraid of sharp objects.
5. What are you most excited about in web3?
Family, from that, I learn everything.
6. What's the most significant learning experience you've had in web3?
Of course, I learn a lot of drawing techniques from web3. Learn how to manage sales. And the important thing I learn is attitude.
Thank you, ABNXRMAL, for taking the time to collaborate with me on this Platofrm Peril. I love seeing Esther in this way. If you want to learn more about ABNXRMAL, jump in and follow him on Twitter.
