1. Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm a self-care and mental health advocate. A medical professional with passion and a deep interest in art, self-care and positivity. A budding digital artist who loves exploring different techniques & incorporate colours in her work. Has a penchant for creating pieces with thought-provoking narratives & tiny details of joy. My artworks are mostly self-love orientated, but I also like to paint things inspired by my own slice of life. Vibrant colours & florals are my niche. Your best bud for a daily dose of positivity and some pick-me-ups. Spreading happiness through digital art with the hope of raising self-care and mental health awareness through social media one day at a time.
Each piece is carefully curated, with a combination of personal sharing, experience and sprinkles of professional knowledge. Each art piece comes with different topics/stories/poems. The pieces are also related to articles on mental health content which I explore and indulge more in my blog posts.
Besides producing art, I also write mental health content on my website.
2. How do you get into your creative zone?
I get inspired by everything around me, be it nature, life events, books I read, movies I watch, people I meet, or places I visit. But whenever I feel like I'm having an art block, I like to see beautiful cafes in my neighbourhood and brainstorm.
I draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources. When I find myself experiencing an art block, I visit beautiful cafes in my neighbourhood to clear my mind and recharge my creative energy. Lovely restaurants offer a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere that helps me focus and generate new ideas. I usually go through relaxation and concentration to get into my creative zone. I begin by taking deep breaths or meditating to clear my mind of distractions. I also create a space for myself that is conducive to creativity. Once I have created a conducive environment, I brainstorm and jot down any ideas that come to mind. I use a notebook or a sketchbook to capture my thoughts and ideas, allowing me to explore them more fully. Throughout the process, I remain open to new experiences and ideas, drawing inspiration from everything around me. This combination of relaxation, concentration, and openness allows me to enter my creative zone and generate new and exciting ideas for my art.
3. When in the flow, what does your process look like?
My creative process has a clear and structured flow that begins with writing and ends with the finished artwork. I start by creating the foundation of my piece, such as writing the poem or story I want to share. This helps me develop a clear idea of the message I want to convey and the emotions I want to evoke.
Next, I move on to the visual elements of my artwork. I begin sketching my character and adding relevant aspects around them, which helps to visually bring my story or poem to life. My focus on florals is a unique and creative aspect of my process, adding a natural and organic element to my artwork. The colours I choose are often inspired by the florals I use, which help creates a cohesive and harmonious palette. As I work on my piece, I likely enter a state of flow where I get fully engaged in the creative process and lose track of time. This is a natural and enjoyable part of the creative process, allowing me to fully explore my ideas and bring my vision to life. My creative process involves a careful balance of writing and visual elements, which come together to create a cohesive and meaningful artwork. By starting with the written message, I can create a clear direction for my artwork, while the visual elements add depth and emotion to my piece. My love of florals and colours makes a unique and distinctive style that sets my artwork apart.
4. Tell us about your Esther piece?
It's a delightful and whimsical scene full of fun and creative details. At first glance, viewers are immediately drawn to the central figure of my character, who appears to be the piece's focal point. Using multiple Esthers with different personalities and outfits adds a sense of diversity and individuality to the scene, making it clear that each Esther has their unique story and purpose within this world. As the eye wanders around the piece, viewers will notice the Esthers navigating various platforms and engaging in different tasks, such as igniting the anti-anxiety candles or breaking a healing crystal. These elements add to the playful and lighthearted tone of the piece and suggest that this world has its own set of rules and rituals that these Esthers follow. The anti-anxiety candles and healing crystals imply that this world is one of self-care and self-improvement. The Esthers are actively working to improve their mental and emotional well-being.
Furthermore, the addition of my own character playing with Esther by the window creates a sense of intimacy and connection within this world. It suggests that there is a personal relationship between the creator and their creation, which adds a layer of depth and emotion to the piece. Overall, the art piece is a fun and imaginative world full of whimsy and wonder, where the Esthers are free to explore and engage in various tasks while surrounded by elements of self-care and healing.

5. What are you most excited about in web3?
I'm excited about the potential for web3 to bring about greater decentralization and ownership in the digital world. With web3, individuals can have more control over their data, and communities can have more say in the direction of the platforms they use. I'm also excited about the potential for web3 to enable new creative possibilities, such as digital art and music ownership and distribution. Web3 can provide new ways for creators to monetize their work and connect directly with their audiences without relying on centralized platforms.
6. What's the most significant learning experience you've had in web3?
The most crucial learning experience in web3 has been collaborations and community involvement. A strong web3 connection for me is the cooperation and input from a wide range of stakeholders, including developers, users, and token holders. Engagement with the community is an essential aspect of building trust and creating sustainable systems.
It has truly been a pleasure getting to know you and working together on this project. I am thrilled with the outcome! If you’d like to connect with @SocialRealmNFT, you can find her on Twitter here.
