Artist Spotlight: Kidszab
Today I have the pleasure of spotlighting @kidszab and sharing his generous donation to the Esther Fair prize pool.
Kidszab is a 1/1 motion/visual artist and is the Creator of the Voodoo Dolls & Warlocks. He has a unique ability to create on many different planes, from 2d to 3d in many different styles. He has some of the smoothest animations I have seen and thats what made him stand out to me and sparked our first conversations.
We have been working together for a little while, and Kidszab graciously donated his animated mlkman mob member piece to the Esther Fair 2 prize pool, thank you so much.
Without further ado, let's get to know Kidszab.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm an artist and musician from Karachi, Pakistan, who has explored different art styles for about 2 decades. I do art because it makes me happy.
2. How do you get into your creative zone?
Before starting a piece, I pray to the Creator. Who better to ask than the source of all creation itself.
3. When in the flow, what does your process look like?
I have never planned a piece. I go where my heart takes me. In between the process, I have absolutely no idea where it will end up. I let my feelings drive my work.
4. Tell us about your Esther piece?
I had the pleasure of working with Luke, an absolutely fantastic individual. I approached him when I saw the characters of the Mob. One of the skills I acquired over time was 2d rigging-based character animation. At first glimpse of the Mob, I pictured them in motion. Hence, I put them in action. The Mob is happy, Luke is happy, and so am I.
5. What are you most excited about in web3?
It's such a unique concept. To this day, I have no idea what the hell is going on. But I'm enjoying it, so I continue to be part of it. Just the feeling of creating art and actually sharing it with people who consider it worthy is a good feeling.
6. What's your most significant learning experience in web3?
The most beautiful thing is how everyone encourages everyone. There is no competition here, no race to the top. Competition just makes things ugly. Here, there is only beauty.
Thank you Kidszab for opening up and sharing a glimpse of your process. It’s been a pleasure to get to know you and we all appreciate you. To stay in touch with Kidszab, check him out on Twitter.
